Star Trek, website and walking in circles

I love Star Trek: The Next Generation. I've been saying it over and over for the last few weeks.
I know I'm annoying about it. I talk about it all the time, quote it, watch it at least twice a day.
But I can't help it. I just love it. I love the characters, the stories, everything! (except Wesley...)
I know I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to things I like, (e.g, Batman) but again, I can't help the way I am.

As the title hints, I'm working on making a personal website.
I'm attempting to make it using iWeb, and it's actually going a lot better than I thought.
Knowing basic HTML really helps, too.
Hopefully it'll all come together like I plan.

Now, I'm sure you're wondering what I mean when I say "walking in circles."
Well, recently I've noticed a very odd thing that I do almost everyday.
At random times during the day I'll just start walking around the sofa in our living room, just thinking and talking to myself, (two more things I do quite often, actually...)
But the thing is, whenever I do this, I always get the best writing ideas.
For some reason, just walking around like that makes me want to start reciting things that I'm going to write out loud.
For example, I'm working on a fan-fiction, (I'm not going to say what of, but if you know me you can probably guess,) and I was having a ton of writers block. But every time I started walking in circles it was like this explosion of ideas.
It's really odd, but I'm not going to complain because it obviously works.

Summer is pretty much over now, which I kind of have mixed feelings about.
On the one hand, I'm kind of glad to get back to school. But on the other hand, we're going to get incredibly busy and I won't have as much free time.

It's all pretty bittersweet, isn't it?

Summer is almost over, and I, being the awesome person that I am, have hardly posted about it.

I guess I'll start with the big stuff. (I almost put "pig stuff.")

We got back from North Carolina yesterday, and I have to say it was a fantastic trip. We were there for a week and it was great. Spending time with my family is always fun! (:
The beach was awesome, and we had perfect weather the entire time! We rode bikes, went body surfing, took pictures and had fantastic homemade food. I even did a little shopping. (one of the things I bought was a rainbow umbrella, I just couldn't help myself!)
All in all, it was a great trip!

I've also been to the movies a lot this summer, which I don't think I ever posted about either.
So far, I've seen: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2, Super 8, Winnie the Pooh, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and Captain America, all of which I really enjoyed.

Aside from beach trips and going to the movies, I've spent time with family, gone to the pool, played Minecraft, and watched Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Yep, I'm so awesome, I bet you can hardly handle my awesomeness.

Anyways, I just wanted to get something up before I want past a week.

Today is the 3rd anniversary of The Dark Knight!!! (No, I still won't let it go...) And I'm ashamed to say that I can't actually watch it like I have in past years. ):
I'm a terrible fan!

Aside from that, I have done anything particularly news-worthy.
All I've really done is babysit, draw and watch Star Trek.

Why yes, I am a loser, thanks for noticing.

What a weekend

Haha, not really. Well, kind of...

Look I promised I'd be completely honest, so that's what I'm going to do.

Being completely honest, I didn't really have a good time.
The talks were generic, boring, and not at all compelling or thought provoking. I was really disappointed, because I was expecting a lot more substance in these talks.
And the chastity talk, boy was that fun.

The music was, well, to put it lightly, it was very christian music. So yeah, not really my style. And they sure did play a lot of it. Oh, so much music...

The food made me sick. And when I say sick, I mean literally sick. The orange juice gave me heartburn, the burger almost made me puke, and everything else just made me feel nauseous. There wasn't a single healthy thing to eat, and I felt really gross after every "meal."

And to top it all off, there was this really stupid drama surrounding me. Heck, the drama was ABOUT me.
I can't really tell you the whole story, but I'll just say this; it was one of the most embarrassing experiences of my life. No joke. The story just get's worse and worse every time I hear about it. It kind of ruined whatever fun I did end up having on the trip.

I don't know if this is too brutality honest, I don't know if it sounds like I'm being a downer, but I did not have a good weekend. I was sick, tired, and the drama was unbelievable.

I've never been more happy to be home.

Busy, busy!

I've had a very good weekend so far.
On Thursday night Lilly and I had a sleepover at our friend Dehja's house. We watched random movies and Lilly acted like a total spazz. It was fun.
On Friday I spent most of the day with my mom. We went shopping and just talked. Then we met my dad for a nice lunch. When we got back home we all went to the pool. It was a really, really good day.
Yesterday we went to my Abuelo and Abuela's house to celebrate my Abuela's birthday. We had a great lunch, and I had a great time visiting with my family, (I always do.)

Today we're going to the grocery store, (Wegmans!) and other than that I don't know yet.
Tomorrow is the 4th of course, so we're going to see fireworks with some friends.
My brother Sam's birthday is this week! He's finally going to be 13! I can hardly believe it! And just when I'm feeling a little more sentimental than usual. The years just roll by don't they?

This coming weekend Lilly and I are going to a Youth Conference in Ohio. I have kind of mixed feelings about going, (to be completely honest I don't really want to go at all,) but my mom says I'm supposed to go with an open mind. I'll tell you how it went when I get back, and I'll be completely honest, no sugar-coating it.

I love Summer.

Cleaning up

I've been editing the blog again, cleaning some old stuff up and fixing things, but more specifically I've been fixing my profile up.
Man, I tell ya, that thing still had some of my "goth-faze" stuff in it. It was pretty embarrassing, so I've been cleaning that stuff out.
Come to think of it, that whole TIME PERIOD when I was trying to be goth seems so stupid now. I can't believe I was trying so hard to be something I just wasn't. I mean, I wore all black, listened to nothing but Evanescence, metal, and screamo, and hardly spoke. My grandmother once told me it was just a faze. Thank god she was right.

Completely unrelated to what I'm talking about, I've been watching a lot Disney movies lately. I've come to realize, (despite Lilly saying it's weird) that I still like a majority of Disney's cartoons. My current favorite right now, is Hercules, (hence my new profile image.)

Yeah, I'm 16 and I still love Disney movies. So what?

But seriously, I do love my dad. I know I don't show it a whole lot, but I really do. He really does a lot for us.

Almost all last week I was sick with a cold, and a pretty bad one at that. I was congested, coughing, sneezing, had a sore throat, the whole package. During that time all I really did was watch Star Trek, (I'm a huge Trekkie now) and play video games. But I'm all better now, so it's all good.

Oh yeah, and my Gaiaonline account got hacked last week. It really sucks, and it really scared me! Everything, (from what I can see) is gone from the account, all the items I spent years trying to get, gone. I'm still pretty mad about it.

So yeah, it was an interesting week, some other odd stuff happened, but I won't go into that right now. Father's day was great though.

After an insanely busy weekend, including a busy Monday, I've finally found time to put this up.

As I said, my weekend was crazy busy. Graduation (no, not mine,) sports, ballet recitals, baby-sitting and a trip to the grocery store, all squeezed into four short days. I was totally worn out on Monday night.

Also, on Tuesday I got to go see X-men: First Class. I liked it a lot, it was a lot of fun to watch.

Things are less busy now, and I've taken advantage of that fact by spending quite a bit of time writing and drawing. Lately I've been drawing a lot more than usual. Plus I've had an explosion of ideas for short stories which I'm really excited to start writing.

I've been in a pretty good mood lately, and I'd really like to keep it that way. Hopefully this will last and I won't mess it up.

So yeah, it's pretty much summer now, and I'm pretty happy about it.

The pool is open too, which makes me even happier, as I love to swim.

Big change

I'm almost finished with the layout edits. Just a few more small things, and it'll be done.
As you can see, the blog has gone through some dramatic changes.

No longer black, red and purple, the blog is now filled with rainbows, unicorns, and pure awesomeness.

And I'm sorry. I know it's been over a month, and that's too long. But so many things happened, and I lost track of time.

Well, for starters, I have another sister.
Yep, her name is Mara and she was born April 5th. She's really cute!

Aside from that it was just the usual stuff. But a lot of the usual stuff.

As for my blog, I'm in the process of changing the layout. So if you happen to see the blog while it looks messy or half done, that's why.
Also, you don't have to wait for me to moderate comments anymore. But because I don't have moderating on I might not always reply to comments right away.

Also, I got a Fictionpress account, but there's nothing on it yet, so I'll post the link once I put some stories up.

Things have been pretty crazy around here, so I didn't get a chance to post.

Anyway, I FINALLY got my copy of Pokemon White!!!!
The game is awesome! I'm really loving it so far. All the new features, especially the wi-fi stuff, are great! Yeah, you know what I'm doing all week.

Well, I had a good weekend. I went to my grandparents house on Friday and we went to see The Unknown AND I got to learn how to use a telescope because I now have a big telescope at my house! It's awesome, and I can't wait to really use it!
On Saturday we went to Sam's basketball game which was, well, interesting to say the least.
Today we went to the movies with Youth Group, and I had a really fun time! Even if the movie was Gnomeo and Juliet...

I've been thinking a lot about dreams. Well, more than usual I mean.
I've been trying to learn how to have lucid dreams more easily. I've been reading a lot about how to do it, but nothing has worked so far. It kinda sucks, because I want to be able to easily control and change my dreams. I hope I get it soon...

So here we are at the end of another year. It almost feels as if I'm standing on the edge of a bridge, looking back one last time before I cross. Ahh yes, it's time again for another one of my weird end of the year posts.

Well, the main thing I want to say is thank you, to everyone. I've realized that I'm really a pretty lucky person. I have an amazing family and equally amazing friends who have really been there for me this year. You're all wonderful people and I'm so happy to have you all in my life! I love you all so much!

As I said in my last post, this year went by so fast. But that doesn't mean it was a bad year. In fact, it was a pretty great year. I did a lot this year and had a lot of great experiences, and I feel like I learned a lot, but as you may of noticed, I didn't really blog a whole lot the last half of this year. For some reason I had a lot of trouble with writer's block and I just couldn't figure out what to write about, so unfortunately I didn't get to last year's goal of 1'000 posts by today. Also, remember how I said I wanted to be less selfish? Yeah, that didn't work out so great either. Oh well, I did try. The only thing that did work out was that I didn't lose my geek-atude. Thank god for that.
This year, my goals are a little different. I really want to share more with you guys in 2011. I want to share more deep and personal things, versus being completely random. Now, that doesn't mean I won't still be random at times, but I will try to be serious a little more often.
I also want to share more art. What I mean is, I want to share not just more photographs, but some of my drawings and maybe shorts stories or poems, too. Hopefully it'll work out a little better this time around. WE SHALL SEE!

So yesterday was my sister Anna's 9th birthday, and I took her and my mom to see Tron: Legacy.
The movie was great! It was just fun and awesome and totally cool looking! And I loved the music too! I loved it as much as the first one!

Today Lilly and I went Christmas shopping with my second cousins. We both had a lot of fun! I always love spending time with them.

I really need to post more often...
Anyway, not too much has happened since Thanksgiving, I've just been too lazy to write anything.

First of all, my great-grandmother had to go back to Florida yesterday. I'm gonna miss her a lot, we had a really great time with her.
Lilly and I went Christmas shopping with my other grandparents yesterday. It was fun, and we did a good job! I also got a tee-shirt and an awesome wallet! The wallet is a taco with a mustache! It's amazing!
I realized the other day that I'm the only person in this house that doesn't have the desire to play any kind of sport. I'm also like the only person in whole family that hates pretty much every sport out there. But in general I'm pretty hateful person, so it's not very surprising.
I LOVE CALL OF DUTY NOW!!!! I love kicking people's butts and annoying the heck out of them! My dad got me a headset so I can talk to people, and they always think I'm a boy. I guess that's what happens when you have a man voice.

So yeah, I got to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows yesterday.
And it was AMAZING! The movie was soooo good, and I totally loved it! And now I love Hermione even more than I already did!

Today Anna got her purple belt in Tae Kwon Do, and it's always cool to watch her.
Then we went out for Chinese with my grandparents!

My 16th birthday was yesterday! And it was great!
I went to lunch with Lilly and my dad and then my dad got me Call of Duty: Black Ops! The game is so cool and so much fun! Then we had stuffed shells for dinner and ice-cream cake!

Wow, it's been a while since I posted...

But anyway, as I mentioned over a week ago, I got to go to New York for the weekend!
I got back on Sunday night and I had a really awesome time!
I stayed with my aunt and uncle, and it was really great to get to visit and hang out with them and we did a lot of really fun stuff!

I got there Friday afternoon and my uncle showed me around. We went to a really awesome toy store, and a cool video game store. Then all three of us had arepas, and Bubble Tea which were both delicious!

On Saturday we had Chinese food and then we went to Brooklyn for an independent comics and animation convention called KingCon. It was really cool! There was a lot of really cool stuff and everyone was really nice! I bought two awesome t-shirts and it was cool to actually get to talk to the people who made and designed them! After that we walked around Brooklyn and went to the Brooklyn Bridge.

On Sunday we had Dim Sum, and it was really good! Then we walked around China Town and went shopping. On the way back the apartment we went back to Toy Tokyo where I bought some toys and then we had falafels.

The whole trip was great! I had a really fun time with Carlos and Jenn! Thank you guys for making this trip so much fun!

Yeah, I know it's been a week, but I've been busy!

Anyways, we have a lot going on! We just got our Halloween shopping done today and I finally got my knee-highs! I feel special with them on!

Lilly and I are going to play Laser Tag with Youth Group tonight, we have a birthday party tomorrow, and Halloween on Sunday! Lots of fun and excitement around here!
And speaking of excitement, I'm SUPER excited because in one week, I'm going to New York!!

Today is Unicorn Pencil's 3rd anniversary! Yippee!
I can't believe I've been blogging for three years already! More importantly, I can't believe this particular blog has survived this long. I mean, it's gone through so many changes, and my writing style has definitely changed over the years as well. But this was my first blog, and I don't think I could ever let it die, even if I wanted to.
I mean, if it wasn't for this blog, I would have never met Andrea, Malicque, Mack-Attack or any of you guys! And I don't know what I'd do without you guys!
Anyway, I just want to say thank you to everyone who's read this blog over the years, especially my long-term readers! Thanks for sticking with me! You guys are the best!

For starters, my blog's 3rd anniversary is on the 24th! I can't believe I've had this thing for three years! Sigh... Good times...
And I finally have another pair of jeans! Even though I probably need more, it's still a really good thing. Also, I REALLY want knee-high socks, and no matter what, I'm gonna get them at some point! YOU BETTAH BELIEVE IT!

I'm now hooked on a band called Placebo. Lately it seems like I can't listen to any music that isn't from the 90's. Lilly hates me for it. I just can't seem to get her to give my music a chance!

I can't stop reading it! There's this one absolutely AMAZING author on FanFiction.net who's stories always amaze me! (and now that I've mentioned it, I feel compelled to give you the link to their profile...)

The DS case is awesome, it has a ton of room and it's cobalt blue just like my DS!

And of course, the comic is absolutely AMAZING!
Even though I know Mad Love by heart, it was definitely worth it to buy it!
I got it hardcover so it will last a long time! I'm so glad I finally own it!

No, Jason Todd is NOT a real person...
He is, of course, a Batman character. (Bet you didn't see THAT coming!)
The reason I've even mentioned him is because Sam and I watched Batman: Under the Red Hood last night, and I was reminded of my passionate hate for him.

First of all, Jason was Robin, but everyone hated him, including me, so they killed him off. But for some really stupid reason, they BROUGHT HIM BACK TO LIFE! What the heck!?!
Anyways, then he became Red Hood, who was awesome until you realized who he really was.
And then there was the ending, the horrible, stupid ending.
Jason started whining to Batman about how he didn't love him enough or care enough about his death to kill The Joker, (who, by the way, beat Jason to death with a crowbar, that was awesome!) So he told Batman to choose between killing The Joker or killing him, and Batman, being awesome, said he wasn't going to kill either of them. So Jason got mad and blew up a building, killing himself in the process.

But other than that, the movie was great. The animation was fantastic and Batman was as awesome as ever and EXTREMELY hot! Nightwing was in it too, and he was cool.
And of course, I couldn't forget Alfred! He was fabulous!

Anyways, Sam and I have watched Batman pretty much everyday this past week, and I feel great! But my stuff still hasn't got here, and I'm getting really impatient!
Tomorrow is gonna be awesome!

Inception...

I don't think I've ever walked out of a movie theater speechless before today. Speechless in a good way, that is.
But that's what happened after I saw Inception, another amazing film by Christopher Nolan.
When I walked out of the the theater, I tired to explain all the reasons why this film is so amazing, and why I loved it so much... But there are just far too many reasons to do this...
This is what I put on Facebook right after I got home.

"Inception was beyond amazing! I walked out of the theater speechless because it was so amazing! No complaints, I can only say good things about it! If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend that you do! Best movie I've seen all year!"

Now that I've calmed myself down, I think I can put it into better words.

The whole movie was breathtaking. The story was amazing, complex, emotional, and thought provoking. But right now, I don't want to give too much away. I really think if you haven't already, you should REALLY go and see it for yourself, you won't be disappointed!
For now, I think I'll just list a few of the many things I loved about the movie.

The cast was fantastic. Everyone did a superb job, they all played their parts so well. And speaking of the characters, I loved every single one of them!
The script was great and very well written, which is something I love in a movie.
The special effects were amazing and the cinematography was great!
Like I said, the story was FANTASTIC.
And of course, the music was awesome! (Hans Zimmer FOREVER!)

Actually, 12:21. I should be in bed. Maybe? Nah, I didn't think so...

So, the only reason I'm posting now is....
Well, actually, I don't have a reason...
Meh, oh well.

Anyways, I was just going around editing the blog.
I removed a couple images from the sidebar, and changed the background image, as well as the header.
And yes, it's still Batman themed, get over it.
But this time, it's more Animated Series than Dark Knight.
Some people I know will be happy about that.

Soooo, Monday was boring as heck, I thought I was gonna die.
Hopefully today will be better. Maybe I should get some sleep first....

Two reasons to celebrate!

So, obviously everyone knows that today is Father's Day. But there is also a lesser known reason to celebrate today.
Today, in our family, we not only celebrate our wonderful fathers, grandfathers, and uncles, but we also celebrate the 40th wedding anniversary of my Abuelo and Abuela.

To Papa...
I know that you may not see this, but I feel like I need to say something here.
I know I don't often show it, but I really do appreciate everything you do for us. You work so hard and give us all so much, and I just want to say thank you, for everything.
I mean, where else would I have inherited my sense of humor?
You are constantly teaching us how to be good kids, and even though we screw up sometimes, you've never given up on us.
I love you, so much! I don't say it enough, but I hope you know it!

To Abuela and Abuelo...
When I see the two of you together, I can see just how much you truly love each other, and how devoted to each other you are. You are amazing grandparents! You give us all so much love and encouragement, you've always been there for me and it means so much to me! You are the best grandparents in the whole world! I have so much respect for both of you!
You are an inspiration to me, and I hope that I can on day find love like the two of you share.
I love you both so, so much! I can hardly put it into words, but I hope you know it!

So, happy Fathers Day, to Papa, Abuelo, Grandpa, all of my Uncles, and all of the other fantastic fathers that I know! You are all amazing!

Last week was not good, everyone, besides me and Lilly, was sick, and WE had to take care of everything! And some people are STILL SICK!

The World Cup started last week.

Yesterday was by far the most BORING day ever.

I guess I owe you guys an apology...
I'm sorry I've been so absently absent this past week. I guess I might as well summarize for you what happened.

Okay, so obviously, we returned home safe and sound after a week and half of awesomeness.
My cousin got married! (Congrats, Alison! I love you!)
After all the wedding stuff, I felt sick.
And then after I felt better, I felt bad again, but not sick.
So, after a few days of feeling sad and depressed, I made my comeback, which was yesterday.
I had Kit-Kats and bought music and now I feel fabulous!
And of course, we've been to the pool, and oh yeah, Netflix is awesome!

And tonight I'm watching Justice League with Sam.
;D

So yes, a lot and yet, not too much. I am sorry.
I'll try and start posting more often again.

It feels weird not posting everyday.
Yeah, it still does....

So, this is pretty much our last day of vacation, because we leave tomorrow afternoon!

But really, we've had an awesome vacation!! We've got to spend a lot of time with family that we don't get to see very often! And because of all the swimming and walking we've done, I've gotten a lot of exercise! Because God knows I need it...

I am happy to be going home, I miss my family a lot!
I'll post more about the trip when we get back.

Right now I'm in Florida, sitting on a couch with a dog on my lap. :)

We arrived in Florida today! Yesterday we were in Georgia with our aunt, uncle and adorable little cousins, it was a really nice visit, and I can't wait to see them later in the week!

Lilly and I went to the beach today, it was awesome!

I'm having a great time, but I do miss my family a lot.

I don't think I'll be able to post everyday, but I'll make it up when I get back.

Today we attended the funeral of our dear priest Father Jack Fullen, who passed away on May 7th.
It was a very beautiful funeral and although we miss him, we know he has received his reward in heaven.

I worry so much that I'm flawed, stupid and that there's something wrong with me, but you always tell me that I'm not, in fact you tell me the complete opposite! You've been an amazing inspiration to me, and I wish I could explain in a better way how much I appreciate everything you do for me and the whole family. Thank you for everything you've done and continue to do! Thank you for loving me and teaching me and dealing with my moody, extreme, judgemental and odd personality. ;)
